DESIGN
I love the creative design process and making something deeply personal, so of course I'd love to design a piece with you that will be treasured forever. This may begin with an idea of the style you like, who the item is for or if it's for a special occasion. I will also re-model heirloom jewellery, re-using sentimental stones and metal into a new concept. I will come up with different ideas based on suggestions you've given me and alter them until they're exactly what you want. I have discussed designs in person, via email or Zoom/Skype. This allows me to work with people no matter where they are in the world! MATERIALS
I love reworking existing jewellery to make something even more sentimental but am equally happy to source gemstones from which you choose your perfect treasure. Gemstones are sourced as ethically as possible from reputable dealers or I use reclaimed/vintage stones to minimise the impact on the environment. Characterful stones with inclusions, uncut or unusual cuts are my speciality. I'm open to working in any metal, I always use recycled gold and can also use certified fairtrade gold on request.
I love using centuries old techniques and tools to physically connect with the craft and the history of goldsmithing. I believe this helps to bring out the natural, raw elements of the materials. My personal favourite is 18 carat yellow gold, you just can't beat that glow!
